Important Questions Parents Should Ask
Are criminal background checks performed on staff?

All staff and volunteers have initial and routine background checks performed prior to working with any children. We want parents to feel secure in knowing that the best interest of their children is our top priority.

What type of curriculum is used?

The Primary Academy uses Open-Court Reading in our Pre-K classrooms. This curriculum helps to develop strong, early reading skills for young children. The daily lessons help develop letter/sound recognition, sight word recognition and beginning reading development skills. We also use a non-denominational Christian curriculum appropriate for children of all denominations. The lessons consist of a bible story and a corresponding activity. Children in the 2 year old classroom through our Pre-K classrooms attend chapel each week. Chapel is also non-denominational and consists of songs and stories from the bible.

Is The Primary Academy right for your family?

We believe that The Primary Academy will offer your family the care that you seek for your child. We are a small, family oriented facility. We are owned and operated by two professional educators who know and love children. You will notice that we have a small teacher/student ratio which allows the teachers to really get to know your child, their learning style and their family. We strive to have open communication between parents and teachers. After all, we are parents too and understand that you have entrusted us with your most valuable possession.
